Our Journey for the Perfect Bag

Sometimes you search for the perfect next project, and sometimes that next project searches for you. This project found us and caught us hook, line and sinker. And not to play too much off of this concept, this was truly a perfect storm of events that lead to the release of our Heritage Sailor Bag.

Christian Watson of 1924us and I have wanted to team up for a while, in fact we'd been talking about it since the early days of Damn Handsome. Christian's authenticity, talent and aesthetic have always seemed perfectly paired with the ethos of our brand. But somehow, within the three years since we started DHGC, both are brands respectively have been insanely busy.

Finally this spring we each carved out time for a project, each not knowing what we'd be tackling, we made a commitment to create something meaningful that'll stand the test of time. And then, like a fish jumping up stream (these metaphors are just coming too easy now) it slapped us in the face...the project had to be something old, rugged, re-imagined and something that can travel anywhere.

DHGC has been wanting to jump into the apparel world for a while but never has found the perfect intro and 1924us is a natural wanderer brand, so a duffel seemed like the perfect point to leap off from.

The rest - the late night texts, images back and forth, back story of our ill fated mermaid - is all in front of you. Our Heritage Sailor Bag. One hell of a collaboration for the handsome traveler.
